Craig Gordon born (December 31 1982 in Edinburgh) is sunderland's and Scotland's number one goalkeeper. He is particularly noted for being the most expensive goalkeeper in British history, as Roy Keane paid a national goalkeeper record £9 million for him from Hearts in Scotland, where he had impressed with his amazing saves in the league, international and in the UEFA Cup. At sunderland Gordon has been moderate in form and has made good saves against Torres, Vornin, Jerome, and Benjani and including a super save against Carlton Cole. However has had lows such as conceding seven at Everton, and has found it difficult to keep clean sheets, finishing the 2007/2008 season with just seven.
