Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson (born 17 June 1990) is a midfielder who plays in midfield for Sunderland. Henderson originally was an academy player for Sunderland after joining in 2006, but in 2008 he gained a promotion to the first team squad and signed a professional contract with the club.
It was in the 2008/2009 season where Henderson made his first appearances for Sunderland, against Chelsea as a substitute and he made his first start against Blackburn in the Carling Cup.

Born in sunderland, Henderson previously attended Farringdon Community Sports college, where he was brought into the Sunderland youth system after one of the teachers recommended him to a local Sunderland scout. his mum is a tennis teacher
