Martyn Waghorn (born January 23, 1990 in South Shields) is a member of the Sunderland youth team and the Sunderland first team, he plays as a striker and he made his debut on the 26th December 2007 against Manchester United, aged only 17.[1]
Waghorn signed a professional contract with sunderland in 2008 as Roy Keane looked to keep him in the team. Martyn Waghorn has been a goalscoring wonder for the Sunderland U'18's, aswell as providing many assists. Started the game at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea in 2008.
