Pascal Chimbonda
From Sunderland A.F.C. Wiki
Pascal Chimbonda born 21 February 1979 in Les Abymes, Guadeloupe is a French defender who plays for Sunderland and for the French national team. Chimbonda is able to play at centre-back or left-back, but more commonly right-back. He signed for Sunderland A.F.C. on July 26, 2008.
His time at Sunderland though was not long or successful, after playing just one game he fell out with manager Roy Keane upon turning up late for a hotel meeting, he found himself dropped and played sparsely. Because of his ego and attitude along with the ones of El Hadji Diouf and Djibril Cisse, as well as the volitile behaviour of Roy Keane. Morale at Sunderland in the team was destroyed and form sunk leading to a 4-1 home thrashing at Bolton and Keane's departure.
In the january of 2008/2009, Chimbonda was sold by Ricky Sbragia back to spurs.
