Ricky Sbragia

Ricky Sbragia (born 26 May 1956, in Lennoxtown Scotland) is a Scottish football coach who managed Sunderland from December 2008 to May 2009. He gained the drop following a successful caretaker spell following the resignation Roy Keane, winning 2, drawing 1, and loosing only to Man United in during this period, though later on the season Sunderland's form dipped under his leadership and they just avoided relegation.

Before the resignation of Roy Keane; Sbragia was the first team coach of Sunderland after being appointed in 2007. Previously he had coached at Sunderland under Peter Reid before he left with his sacking in 2002.

Following his resignation as manager, Sbragia was given a chance to stay on at sunderland and became the head of player recruitment
