Roker Park- was Sunderland A.F.C.'s longest lasting ground, based in Roker, Sunderland. The ground belonged to sunderland from 1898 to 1997. In which afterwards it was demolished and a housing estate was built on the area. It is also famous for holding several world cup games in 1966 when the competition was held in England. Roker park was also known for the roar of the sunderland fans over the years, which was known as the Roker Roar.
The 1996/1997 season was the last at roker park, and a 3-0 win over Everton being the last game. The stadium was demolished after all its interior was auctioned off, the center spot was cut away and taken to the new ground the Stadium of light. Before it was demolished the capacity was just over 30,000, its record attendance is 75,118.
